In this paper, the design of CABLEankle, a wearable device for ankle motion assistance, is presented as based on a cable-driven S-4SPS parallel architecture. The motion of the human ankle is analyzed to obtain operational requirements. Kinematic and static models are introduced for the proposed mechanism design, and the feasibility of the proposed design is investigated through simulation.
