Abstract
The objective of this work is the modelization of an electric Formula Student car through Energetic Macroscopic Representation (EMR) graphical formalism and to study the effect of regenerative braking. EMR is used to easily define a control design and tuning of the system. The corresponding EMR models have been developed for software simulation and presented in detail. A number of simulations are showing the behavior of the batteries state of charge with respect to the variation of the regenerative braking coefficient. The outcome of this analysis is showing that the vehicle range can be extended up to 60%.
