Biography Ayoub obtained a PhD in Physics at the University of Hull (UK) in 2019. His PhD was focused on optoelectronic memristor devices for neuromorphic computing applications using hybrid organic-inorganic materials and graphene oxide thin films.

In 2020 he joined the ADEPT group (ADEPT-Advanced Devices by ElectroPlaTing) at the University of Southampton as a Research Fellow to do research on phase change and resistive switching memories based on electrodeposited chalcogenide materials and mesoporous silica thin films.

In 2022, he moved to the University of Nottingham working as a Research Fellow on developing optically tunable memristor devices for photonic computing and artificial intelligence applications.

He has published many articles in high impact journals such as Nanoscale, Carbon, and Advanced Electronic Materials. He has contributions at national and international conferences for publishing articles and delivering oral and poster presentations.
