Biography After a PhD in Physics at Victoria University of Wellington (NZ) in the field of electronic transport in conducting polymers, Neil went on to do postdoctoral work at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Université de Strasbourg / CNRS - IPCMS (France).

In 2009 he established a research group in Nanophysics at the University of Hull with a focus on developing nanotechnology for real-world applications.

In 2021 he moved to the University of Nottingham to establish a new area of research on the topic of nanoelectronics for neuromorphic computing.
