Dr BASHARAT HUSSAIN
Biography | I am an experienced healthcare researcher related to ethnicity and health. My experience includes working as a Senior Research Fellow with the University of Nottingham (top 100 globally). I have worked on EU, NIHR, MRC and Public Health England funded research projects. My research experience spans in the field of organisational culture change, implementation science, public health, health service policy and delivery. My academic work is published and cited in high ranks journals including Lancet. I have excellent research skills in qualitative, mixed methods, systematic and realist review. I received Associate Fellowship of The UK Higher Education Academy in 2015 for my effective teaching skills. I am multi-lingual and can fluently speak/understand/write English, Urdu, Punjabi, and Mirpuri. I am experienced in undertaking research with healthcare professionals as well as communities, especially marginalised/underserved. Public and professional engagement is an important skill which I have been using in my previous work very effectively. |
