Biography I am a university researcher with over 30 years experience spanning healthcare technology assessment, electronic engineering, computer science and teaching & learning. My current focus, as Principal Research Fellow, is on co-design and evaluation of medical devices and digital technologies in healthcare, with the objective of increasing evidence to adopt the right technologies for mental health in the National Health Service.

In 2013 I was a founding member of the NIHR MindTech MedTech Co-operative mindtech.org.uk in Nottingham, with a particular focus on mental health, and the previous 10 years worked in the UK-wide EPSRC Innovative Manufacturing medical devices research programme, MATCH. Prior to 2003 I worked at Nottingham and other universities in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science as a lecturer and/or researcher.

Outside of my University position I am part of CHEATA.co.uk (NHS Nottingham University Hospitals) and am trustee of TrentDementia.org.uk
