Abstract

paper focuses on the NVH response analyses of Permanent Magnet Assisted Synchronous Reluctance (PMaSynRel) machines. This kind of motors has a complex rotor geometry which leads to have high harmonic contents in the electromagnetic excitation. As an example, a 36-slots 4-poles PMaSynRel motor has been studied in this paper. Firstly, the electromagnetic NVH excitations has been computed using Finite element analyses. Then, the impact of these excitations on the vibration of the motor has been investigated applying the harmonic response analyses. In parallel, the modal analyses have been carried out to evaluate the natural vibration frequencies of the stator. To have a better understanding on which natural frequencies have been excited by the electromagnetic forces. Finally, the electromagnetic harmonic orders affect the different response peaks has been highlighted.
