Abstract

This paper presents the design and evaluation of a power converter to be used in an energy storage system for aircrafts that is be able to control the 270V dc bus voltage during large load disturbances and regeneration. A study is conducted in order to enable the sizing of components and topologies according to the specifics of the application in order to reduce the weight of the components. Experimental results of a power converter demonstrator shows its performance.
