Abstract

The advantage of designing systems based on their uncertain system models is that this approach takes into account some perturbation effects such as system parameter variations that can occur in their physical plants. Two different approaches to uncertain system modelling, based on the Linear Fractional Transformation techniques, were analysed in detail in this work. The developed models can be used to assess robust stability of the system by calculating bounds of the Structural Singular Value. The analysed modelling approaches and robust stability analysis were then applied to an example RLC circuit.
