Abstract

A literature review evolves. At first the literature constitutes the research, then it is constituted by it. The story of the evolution of the literature review for Kerryn’s research is intertwined with the story of her evolving relationship with Hilary, her research ‘supervisor’. We will return to discuss and question the metaphorical implications of this curious term later.
