Modelling of dispersive PT-symmetric Bragg grating (2014)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Phang, S., Vukovic, A., Susanto, H., Benson, T. M., & Sewell, P. (2014). Modelling of dispersive PT-symmetric Bragg grating.

This paper reports on the time-domain numerical model of a parity-time Bragg grating with saturated and dispersive gain. The model is compared against the ideal PT scenario where the gain is constant and unsaturated for all frequencies.

Saturable and dispersive parity-time symmetric directional coupler: a transmission-line modelling study (2014)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Phang, S., Vukovic, A., Benson, T. M., Creagh, S., Sewell, P., & Gradoni, G. (2014). Saturable and dispersive parity-time symmetric directional coupler: a transmission-line modelling study.

In this paper, numerical modelling of Parity-Time (PT) coupled waveguides is reported. The PT coupled waveguide structure consists of two coupled slab waveguides based on GaAs material with gain/loss material parameter models, including both dispersi... The Augustan temple and forum of the colony of Barcino: a 90 degree turn (2014)
Journal Article
Orengo, H. A., & Cortés, A. (2014). The Augustan temple and forum of the colony of Barcino: a 90 degree turn. Oxford Journal of Archaeology, 33(1), https://doi.org/10.1111/ojoa.12028

The Augustan Roman temple at Barcino has been a key element during the last 60 years in the research of the colony's urban development. Its peculiar elongated and narrow plan, first proposed in 1835, and its location at the highest point of the ancie... A note on geographical systems and maps of Montserrat (2014)
Journal Article
Odbert, H. M., & Grebby, S. (2014). A note on geographical systems and maps of Montserrat. Memoirs, 39, https://doi.org/10.1144/M39.27

It is often critically important that geospatial data are measured and mapped accurately, particularly for quantitative analyses and numerical modelling applications. Defining a geographical coordinate system requires a non-unique combination of geod... Read More about A note on geographical systems and maps of Montserrat.

The "eucharistic words of Jesus": an unnoticed silence in our earliest sources (2014)
Journal Article
O'Loughlin, T. (2014). The "eucharistic words of Jesus": an unnoticed silence in our earliest sources. Anaphora, 8(1),

There is a very long standing interest in the 'eucharistic words of Jesus' among both theologians and biblical scholars. However, the words that are given in the Synoptic Gospels are not eucharistic (in the sense of being Jesus' words of blessing / t... The greenhouse metaphor and the footprint metaphor: climate change risk assessment and risk management seen through the lens of two prominent metaphors (2014)
Journal Article
Nerlich, B., & Hellsten, I. (2014). The greenhouse metaphor and the footprint metaphor: climate change risk assessment and risk management seen through the lens of two prominent metaphors. TATuP, 23(2),

This article charts the emergence and framing of anthropogenic climate change as risk through the lens of two metaphors: greenhouse effect and carbon footprint. We argue that the greenhouse effect metaphor provided the scientific basis for framing cl...
