Abstract

Industrial Motor Drives require often required optimal speed and torque control. This work presents the implementation of a eld-oriented control (FOC) with a predictive current control strategy for an induction machine fed by a voltage source inverter. The FOC generates the stator current references for the predictive current controller, which selects the optimal switching state to be applied in the next sample period. The results from a Matlab/Simulink simulation validates the good dynamic performance of the proposed technique, making it a suitable strategy for induction machine control with two-level inverters.
