Abstract
For a more electric aircraft (MEA), most hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical subsystems are supposed to be replaced with electrical subsystems. These replacements result in a larger scale of on-board electrical power distribution system (EPDS). As the system structure is more complex, the system stability becomes a concern. In this paper, a new accurate output impedance model of permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) is derived according to a more detailed transfer function block scheme, and the stability analysis of PMSG itself is carried out by checking the poles of output impedance model. Moreover, a conventional switching model is built in PLECS to validate the results predicted by the output impedance model.
