Abstract

The scope of this Special Issue has been specified to chart out impact dimensions occurring throughout the life cycle of AM products to improve ourknowledge of the environmental impacts of AM and to enable appropriate manufacturing technology adoption decisions with respect to sustainability. In this sense, the papers contained in the issue make a joint contribution to our understanding of the constraint-lifting characteristic of technological improve-ment.
