Abstract
Predictive control has emerged as an alternative to conventional modulation and control of power converters. This article presents a comparison between a classical predictive control technique and a technique operating at a fixed switching frequency, both with a range of sampling times. The results show that predictive control with a fixed switching frequency gives good results with a much longer sampling time compared to the classical predictive control method.
