Abstract

While educational researchers have taken up the question of resistance, their interest is not shared by the majority of researchers in the educational leadership management and administration field. Our review of literatures within and beyond education suggests a number of promising lines for future ELMA inquiry which move beyond binaries of comply/resist to acknowledge (1) the everyday complexities of working in contemporary educational institutions, (2) potential leadership ecosystems of resistance, and (3) the potential for connections to be made between education and wider social movements.
