Abstract
This chapter offers a guide to conducting Action Research (AR) in the field of supply chain management (SCM). We propose several strategies for researchers, building on past experiences. Reflections are offered on the importance of methodological choice in relation to research context and question, of establishing trusting research relationships, of embracing reflexive practice, and of considering participants ‘time’ in AR collaborations. Through these reflections, we highlight the emergent nature of AR processes and hope that through our practical suggestions researchers in our field will be encouraged to adopt AR.
