Theoretical and computational aspects of Hilbert-Maass forms (2024)
Preprint / Working Paper
Singh, S., & Strömberg, F. Theoretical and computational aspects of Hilbert-Maass forms

We introuce algorithms for computing Hilbert - Maass forms and present results obtained by using these algorithms. We also give an overview of the explicit Hecke theory for Hilbert -Maaass forms in the case of narrow class number one.

A reduction algorithm for Hilbert modular groups (2022)
Journal Article
Strömberg, F. (2022). A reduction algorithm for Hilbert modular groups. Journal of Number Theory, 241, 581-602. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jnt.2022.02.011

The aim of this paper is to present an explicit reduction algorithm for Hilbert modular groups over arbitrary totally real number fields. An implementation of the algorithm is available to download from [20]. The exposition is self-contained and suff... Read More about A reduction algorithm for Hilbert modular groups.

ParticleTracker: a gui based particle tracking software (2021)
Journal Article
Smith, M. I., & Downs, J. G. (2021). ParticleTracker: a gui based particle tracking software. Journal of Open Source Software, 6(66), Article 3611. https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.03611

Tracking the motion of objects in a video is an important part of the analysis in a diverse range of subject disciplines (Meijering, 2012; Rahman, 2019; Rose, 2020). It enables one to automate the extraction of quantitative information about size, sh... Read More about ParticleTracker: a gui based particle tracking software.

Teachers’ Perspectives on the Adoption of an Adaptive Learning System Based on Multimodal Affect Recognition for Students with Learning Disabilities and Autism (2021)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Standen, P. J., Brown, D. J., Kwiatkowska, G. M., Belmonte, M. K., Galvez Trigo, M. J., Boulton, H., Burton, A., Hallewell, M. J., Shopland, N., Blanco Gonzalez, M. A., Milli, E., Cobello, S., Mazzucato, A., & Traversi, M. (2021, July). Teachers’ Perspectives on the Adoption of an Adaptive Learning System Based on Multimodal Affect Recognition for Students with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Presented at International Conference on Adaptive Instructional Systems (AIS 2021), Virtual Event

Adoption of e-learning for those with special needs lags that for mainstream learners. Not much is known about barriers and facilitators that drive this disparity. The present study used focus groups and interviews to collect the views of 21 teachers... Adaptive Musical Soundtracks: from in-game to on the street (2019)
Presentation / Conference Contribution
Hazzard, A., & Greenhalgh, C. (2019, September). Adaptive Musical Soundtracks: from in-game to on the street. Presented at Audio Mostly 2019, Nottingham, United kingdom

We describe the challenges of creating location-based adaptive musical soundtracks, which we try to address via the iterative development of daoplayer, a tool to create such media experiences. Daoplayer is broadly modelled on the functionality of com... Read More about Adaptive Musical Soundtracks: from in-game to on the street.
