Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the durability of FRP-strengthened masonry, focusing on the main degradation mechanisms, available literature, and experimental backgrounds. A brief review of the available models for modeling degradation of these composites is also presented. The chapter finishes with a presentation of the current state of standards and codes for considering the degradation induced in these systems under different environmental conditions.
