Abstract
Domestic violence and abuse (DVA) exerts a significant impact on the lives, health and wellbeing of all of those who experience it and this includes children. Health professionals in a variety of settings are well placed to identify potential DVA cases and respond appropriately to disclosure. Presenting the background and an overview of current policy, this article considers the role of health visiting in responding to DVA.
