@article { , title = {A Modulated Model Predictive Control Scheme for the Brushless Doubly Fed Induction Machine}, abstract = {© 2013 IEEE. Brushless doubly fed induction machines (BDFIMs) feature some important advantages, such as high reliability and low maintenance cost, over alternative solutions for brushless machine applications. This paper proposes a modulated model predictive control (MPC) algorithm for BDFIMs, which achieves a fixed switching frequency and superior system performance. An improvement of power quality is shown in this paper when compared to the conventional finite-control set-MPC. This paper examines the design and implementation of the modulation technique as well as presenting the simulation and experimental results to verify the technique's operation.}, doi = {10.1109/JESTPE.2018.2865668}, eissn = {2168-6785}, issn = {2168-6777}, issue = {4}, journal = {IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics}, pages = {1681-1691}, publicationstatus = {Published}, publisher = {Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers}, url = {https://nottingham-repository.worktribe.com/output/1141528}, volume = {6}, keyword = {Brushless doubly-fed induction machine, modulated model predictive control}, year = {2018}, author = {Li, Xuan and Peng, Tao and Dan, Hanbing and Zhang, Guanguan and Tang, Weiyi and Jin, Weiyu and Wheeler, Patrick and Rivera, Marco} }
